1981 '59 ES 335 Reissue
This guitar is a 1981 Blonde Gibson ES-335 Dot Neck Reissue, serial #82321029. Scotty traded Buck Sulcer of Guitar Network in Maryland for this in the early '90s. It was given to Kevin Woods who plays with Ronnie McDowell as a gift from Scotty Moore in December of 1994. He gigs with Scotty from time to time and has become good friends over the years. Kevin got him to sign it a couple of years ago and to sign a letter of authentication. According to a close friend of Scotty's, this is the only guitar that he has ever given away.
Originally introduced in 1958 as the first Semi-hollowbody electric guitar, the Gibson ES335 features Maple and Poplar Laminate Top, Back and Sides; a Mahogany Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard; a 24 3/4" scale length with 22 frets and perloid Dot inlays; Nickel plated Hardware; 2 '57 Classic Humbucker Pickups; Stopbar tailpiece and Tune-o-matic bridge with Grover tuners.
